Basically, the way it works is that you use the top basket to steam vegetables and other items like broccoli or other items that would cook in the same amount of time.

You can poach or boil items, like chicken, eggs, and fish, in the pot or couscous and oatmeal. The burner works as a mini grill for things like grilled cheese or other quick items, though this method can take a bit.

Here are some full meals you can make in a coffee pot:

1.) Salmon, Couscous, and Broccoli

Step 1.) Put some chopped broccoli into the basket so it’s halfway full. Fill up the coffee maker’s reservoir with as much water as it takes. Run the coffee maker until there’s about half of the water left in the reservoir the turn your coffee maker off.

Step 2.) Dump out the water in your pot and add some couscous.

Step 3.) Mix your veggies around with a fork in the basket to make sure that everything is steaming evenly. Restart the coffee maker and let it finish its cycle.

Step 4.) Let the couscous sit in the pot for 5 minutes before you dump it into a bowl.

Step 5.) Next, put some salmon into the carafe with some soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and other seasoning depending on your preference. And put about 3 cups of water into your reservoir and run the cycle again.

Step 6.) Let your salmon sit inside the hot water until it becomes opaque and flaky. This should take about 7 minutes. Now you can take out your salmon and veggies.

2.) Pancakes, Blueberry Sauce, and Sausage

Step 1.) Mix a batch of pancake batter from a box of mix. One cup of mix will make six pancakes.

Step 2.) Cover your burner with some foil, spray it with cooking spray or put some oil on it and turn it on. Let it warm up a bit.

Step 3.) Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the burner and wait for it to stop bubbling. Once it stops bubbling you can flip it over for a few more minutes. Don’t expect them to get too brown or else they’ll become rubbery. You can put a lid on it to help it cook a little bit faster. If you do, make sure you wipe it off in between.

Step 4.) Pour some blueberry fruit spread from a jar into a tiny pan and mix it with some water to thin. You can add fresh blueberries if you have them. Place the pan onto your burner. You can add some more water and berries if you need to.

Step 5.) Once it’s warm you can pour it over your pancakes

Step 6.) If you have some time to kill, you can grease up your burner and place some sausage links on top of it. It may take a while for them to cook up.

3.) Oatmeal and Eggs

Cover your oatmeal with a lid or some tin foil while stirring occasionally until it gets at thick as you want. You can add brown sugar, nut, fruit, etc.

With a small frying pan, you can fry an egg by placing the pan on the burner. If you don’t have a pan you can try place a piece of tin foil over the burner and spray it with cooking spray.

4.) Lemon Chicken and Rice

Step 1.) Put about a centimeter of water in the reservoir to heat it up.

Step 2.) Then add some boneless chicken breasts or tenders into the coffee pot with one or two chunks of butter. Generously dump some lemon pepper and/or other spices and seasoning onto it or else it will taste bland.

Step 3.) Turn the machine on. You’ll only want the water to cover less than half of the chicken.

Step 4.) Cook for 15 minutes and stir the liquid around so that the butter and herbs mix. After 15 minutes, flip the chicken over and let that side cook for 15 minutes.

Step 5.) To cook your rice, follow the steps in the first recipe except substituting the couscous for rice.
