The first dessert is an ornately designed gingerbread house, complete with stained glass windows.

It’s not really stained glass of course, but melted gummy bears. They spread and fuse together in the oven to create a beautiful stained glass effect that is transparent.

This is no regular gingerbread house though, it has a rice cereal treat chimney, cookies and cream chocolate walkway, and chocolate covered ice cream cones as trees, all finished with a sprinkle of powdered sugar to act as snow.

And don’t forget the hot cocoa!

Peppermint hot chocolate is a must have this time of year and So Yummy delivers with an extra minty version.

Skewer a few marshmallows on a long candy cane, dip the mallows in warm chocolate, and then straight into some crushed up candy canes before letting the chocolate dry. This can then be put in a regular hot chocolate and, as it melts, the minty flavor will quickly come through.

By putting all the dry ingredients into a mason jar, and adding a label with the amount of butter and eggs needed, you can gift someone a perfect batch of cookies. This can be used for chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, shortbread… any type of cookie you think your recipient would most appreciate.

What if your gift receiver prefers fudge to cookies? Well that’s ok too! Just whip up a simple batch of fudge with chocolate chips, sweetened evaporated milk, and butter, and add it to the cookie cutter shape of your choice. Remember to put the cookie cutter on some tin foil though so it doesn’t stick to your pan. Simply bake these and then add the fudge, cookie cutter and all, to a nice tin so your recipient can spoon the delicious fudge right out of the mold.

Not everyone has to endure frigid temperatures and mountains of snow during the holiday season.

Some people get to enjoy mild, or even warm weather this time of year and maybe they don’t want something that will make them hotter. In that case, a creamy and delicious ice cream bar might be just the ticket for them.

Using broken up Oreo cookies, some heavy cream, and a strip of fudgy brownie, you can make a sweet frozen treat for your friends and family.
