Winter may be coming, but that’s no excuse to fall into a boring dinner routine full of bland casseroles and tasteless stews. This creamy lemon thyme pork chop recipe is sure to please everyone at your dinner table. Not to mention, it’s super easy to make. Sometimes lemon dishes can be underwhelming, but this one packs a punch of flavor. The sauce is the perfect marriage of citrus and herb. It’s so good that I cooked up some potatoes for a side dish just so I’d have something to pour the extra sauce on. It’s that good!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. creole seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 medium-sized pork loins
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon zest
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 2 garlic cloves

In a dish, combine the flour, creole seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Once all of the dry ingredients are mixed together, evenly coat the pork loins with them.

Bring the skillet to medium-high heat and melt 2 tbsp. of butter. When the butter is completely melted, add the four pork loins to the skillet. Cook each side until brown.

Remove the pork from the skillet and without removing the skillet from the heat, add the white wine, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic cloves, thyme, salt and pepper. Combine those ingredients and then add 2 tbsp. of butter. When the butter is melted, add the heavy cream. Mix well.

Just as the sauce begins to bubble, add the pork chops back to the skillet to finish cooking.
