Looking for an easy, affordable dinner without the hassle of prepping? Our friends at TheFrugalGirls.com have provided a cheesy recipe that anyone can cook without any hassle. In fact, this recipe more about organization than cooking. Simply arrange the layers of pasta in the correct order, and end up with a delicious Italian dish!
The trick to the tortellini is none other than a slow cooker. One pot pasta coming up!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pkg. Refrigerated Mixed Cheese Tortellini
- 1 jar Classico Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce or Homemade Pasta Sauce!
- 4 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- ½ tsp. Garlic Powder
- 2 tsp. Dried Basil Leaves
DIRECTIONS:
First, spray your crockpot with non-stick cooking spray. Pour the pasta sauce into the crockpot and spread out half of the tortellini evenly in a layer on top of the sauce. Sprinkle garlic powder evenly over this first layer of tortellini.
Next, spread out the mozzarella cheese over the tortellini and spread out the remaining tortellini in another layer on top of the sauce. Spread out an additional layer of mozzarella sauce over the tortellinis.
Sprinkle dried basil leaves on top. Cook on high for 1.5 hours, or on low for 3 hours.
Enjoy!
