As the last days of summer slowly fade into the sunset, I’ve been succumbing to my sweet tooth. On a lazy summer afternoon, there is nothing more satisfying than indulging in cake. The problem is that cakes take a lot of time and energy to bake, not to mention that I can’t finish it all. Recently, however, I’ve discovered a faster, easier, and “healthier” alternative: mug cakes.
“Mug cakes” require only a fraction of the ingredients and time require to make a cake, but have the same sweet taste. Since the portions are smaller as well, you’ll be tempted to eat less. Whether you’re craving a solo cup of desserts or baking a batch for a company of friends, grab your favorite mug(s) and have a toast to sweetness.
Chocolate and Banana Cake

- 2 tablespoons of seed oil
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 egg
- Vanilla sugar to taste
- 1/2 banana

Snickerdoodle Mug Cake

- 1 egg yolk
