Dubbed the “3 Ingredient Cookie” because, well, you only need 3 ingredients, this recipe is straightforward, but deliciously tasty. Better yet, chances are you already have the ingredients lying around in your pantry.
The ingredients:
- 6 oz. (3/4 cup) butter, room temp.
- 3.5 oz. (1/2 cup) superfine sugar
- 9 oz. (2 1/4 cups) all purpose flour
*raw/large granulated sugar for coating
First, preheat oven to 325°F.
Then, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Next, add all of the flour at once and let it mix until mixture resembles a crumb texture.
Next, place the cookie mixture onto a clean surface. Lightly knead the mixture and work the crumbs until it forms a dough. Shape the dough into a long rectangular prism.
Sprinkle raw sugar onto wax paper and roll the dough in it. After the dough is coated with sugar, transfer it onto a plastic wrap and set it in the fridge for about 30 minutes or until it’s firm.
Take out the dough and slice into into 1cm thick squares and place them onto a cookie sheet.
Then, bake for 20 minutes or until lightly golden.
When you take it out of the oven, you’ll have 25-30 short and buttery cookies! Enjoy them while they’re oven-fresh, or store them in a container for future bites!
