Alright, kitchen aficionados, here’s another easy-to-do recipe that won’t have you scratching your head or burning a hole in your wallet. This one’s for the sweet tooths out there.
There’s no baking required for this delicious dessert. The music is great too!
You will need:
- 1 can condensed milk (380g)
- cocoa powder
- 50g butter
- 400g cookies
- nuts
Ingredients you can easily buy at the local supermarket. It’s an easily modified recipe so go ahead and buy honey, candy sprinkles, ice cream, or whatever it is you want to add at the end.
Grab a mixing bowl and a whisk.
Open the can of condensed milk and pour it into the bowl. Add in 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder.
Using the whisk, mix the cocoa powder and condensed milk together. Do it slowly and gently as you don’t want to make a mess of things.
What you want is the consistency of chocolate syrup.
Add in 50g of butter. It’s easier if you melt them straight away then pour it into the mixture. Mix in the butter, slowly once again until it blends with the chocolate syrup-like mix.
Set the bowl aside and grab the plate of cookies you have. It won;t really matter what kind you’ve got, just make sure you can crush them into a fine almost-powder like texture.
How you crush those cookies is up to you!
Once you’ve got those cookies crushed, add them to the condensed, cocoa and butter mixture. You could use a wooden spoon or the like for this part. It might be easier with the crushed cookies.
Keep mixing until you get a fine paste-like batter.
You can check for the consistency by using your hands to squeeze the mix. It should be firm but supple when you squeeze it between your palms and fingers. Not too hard though.
Now grab your favorite pan or plate.
Using a spoon or teaspoon (depending on the size you’re going for), scoop a portion out of the mix and rub it in your hands, shaping it into a small ball or whichever shape you prefer.
Then using a blender or food processor, crush the nuts and put them in a bowl.
Layer those bite-sized balls with nuts to your heart’s content. A trick here is to use honey if you want the nuts to stick better to the balls. Presentation is totally up to you!
In place of nuts, you can go for candy sprinkles, syrup, coffee powder, and whatever else you think will tickle your taste buds. Take into consideration friends and family, if you plan on sharing.
This recipe is so easy to do. You could make these as giveaways for the holidays!
If there are kids around, this is one way of letting them help. Get them busy instead of sniffing around for presents. Let them roll the mixture into balls or any shape they want.
