It’s an amazing display of beauty and grace.
Over the years, dance has done nothing but evolve. It is one of the oldest performing forms of art, more than just a series of body movements, dance also represents religions, beliefs, and nations. It has played an important part not only in today’s generation but more significantly in the past.
With the countless dance styles that we have today, one of the most underrated but so hard to master is ballet. One must possess impeccable grace and calmness to deliver the true art form of the dance. It usually takes years to develop ballerina skills, but these young girls show otherwise.
Meet the ballerinas from the MorningStar Dance Academy of Atlanta.
Going 5 years back, they performed in the “Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow,” it’s a Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) gala. A special event where young dancers get to perform along with professionals.

The Youth America Grand Prix, also known as YAGP is the world’s largest network of dance! They aim to support and hone the youth’s talent for dancing, and they teach young dancers between ages 9-19.
YAGP holds a competition in New York every year, with more than 1,200 world-class dancers. It’s a prestigious competition that determines the best of the best.
This performance in particular is an ensemble called “Jasmine.”
They obviously got the name from the fragrant Jasmine flower. They also used it as a reference for the entirety of their routine.
The competition took place at the David H. Koch Theater of Lincoln Center in New York and this group of young ballerinas made it to the top 12.
Their performance will blow you away.
After being introduced by the emcee, the young girls tip-toed towards the center of the humongous stage.
Pretty soon, they started to show why their ensemble was called “Jasmine.”
Each of the talented girls holds a hand fan and it’s the only thing that they needed to manifest some incredible formations that resemble the flower that they represent.
From the small to big, and slow to fast, their transitions became an absolute display of optical illusions. They did each routine flawlessly without anyone missing a beat.
It’s an unbelievable choreography and these girls executed each movement with so much ease.
And that was just the beginning.
The girls were just warming up at that point of their performance- the most astounding parts are yet to come.
Their performance was nothing short of a majestic display of ballet dancing, they were so graceful, beautiful, and smooth.
They kept on creatively forming flower images using their fans, you can’t even imagine their performance without it.
The whole performance was a balance of top-notch ballet dancing and playful choreography, and to incorporate the entire act with tiny pieces of fans was downright brilliant.

That’s not even a surprise, these young talented ballerinas painted our hearts with joyful and beautiful colors. This group was able to effectively combine Chinese traditional dance with ballet.
With all the complexity of some of their formations, none of them missed a single beat.
Apart from the video’s millions of views, they also bagged the first place award!
That’s as expected from that magnificent performance. We bet it’s not the only dance competition where they won first place.
