The Omelet
We often have this for breakfast. In fact, there are countless versions of omelets around the world. To have a simpler description of the omelet, according to Wikipedia, it is,
“…a dish made from beaten eggs, fried with butter or oil in a frying pan (without stirring as in scrambled egg). It is quite common for the omelette to be folded around fillings such as cheese, chives, vegetables, mushrooms, meat (often ham or bacon), or some combination of the above. Whole eggs or egg whites are often beaten with a small amount of milk, cream, or water.”
Soufflé
Soufflé is a French dish, it is a
“…baked egg-based dish made with egg yolks and beaten egg whites. Combined with various other ingredients it can be served as a savory main dish or sweetened as a dessert. The word soufflé is the past participle of the French verb souffler which means “to blow”, “to breathe”, “to inflate” or “to puff”.”
Let’s get things started, to create this fluffy Soufflé omelet, you will need the following ingredients:
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- Butter
And for the procedure:
Step number 1: Crack the 2 eggs. Put the egg whites and the egg yolks in separate containers. Our mystery guy also pointed out to make sure that there are no egg whites stuck in the yolks.
Step number 2: After separating the egg whites from the egg yolks, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the yolks, and beat them well.
Step number 3: Add 1 teaspoon of sugar (not adding sugar is fine, but it will make the outcome lumpy) to the egg whites and beat it using a whisk it. According to him, the whisk should be very clean. Now, if you don’t have a whisk or can’t improvise, you can use an electric mixer. He also mentioned that it may take a while if you’ll try to mix it using your hands.
“Make sure you don’t over whip it to the point of separation, weird egg juice will come out and it won’t be fluffy anymore,” he added.
Step number 4: Add the beaten egg yolks into the whisked egg whites, then mix.
“Don’t overdo it or else it will deflate and separate.”
Step number 5: Use a 6 to 8-inch non-stick pan and put it over low heat. Grease it with butter or cooking oil.
Step number 6: Pour the egg into the pan.
“Note that the whipped eggs can deflate supeerr easily, so you have to fry it immediately,” he wrote.
Step number 7: Spread the top part evenly. Cover the pan, keep the heat on low, and let it cook for 3-4 minutes.
Step number 8: When the time is up, the bottom part of the egg should turn golden brown. If it is, then fold it in half – carefully. Flip it to the side to prevent the filling in the middle from dripping out.
Step number 9: And that’s all there is to this quick, fluffy, creamy omelet recipe. Enjoy! Eat it while fluffy and hot!
