Line dancing is growing more and more popular across the world.
The South Wales Line Dancing Championships occur every year in Sydney, Australia giving an opportunity for new, talented dancers to showcase their skills. Competing for the title is difficult, and at the NSW in 2013, a line dancing team stole the show with their performance.
The team danced to “Fake I.D.” by Big and Rich featuring Gretchen Wilson. They brought the house down with this routine!

Line dancing experts go absolutely wild for this epic routine during the NSW Championships.
Nigel Mooney has her own YouTube channel where she posts different dance performances. She posted the one that they performed at the NSW, but one that also has other dance routines on it!
The HotFoot dance team starts the performance by gliding across the dance floor, following after each other one-by-one. Six of the dancers perform a synchronized line dance. Meanwhile, other dancers do different moves around them.
Dressed as though they just stepped out of the wild west, these cowboys don’t stop shuffling and kicking their feet in perfect harmony.
Then, even more dancers join the mix and the spectacular show continues.
The dancers breeze through the difficult moves without taking a breath. The group moves together without any hiccups, taking advantage of every single piece of footwork to keep you completely captivated.
This dance team dropped an incredible performance, making it almost impossible for any of the teams coming after them to top it.
This style of “cowboy line dance” is quite popular in Australia. They have an event called the NSW Line Dance Ball that takes place every year and raises money for charity.
The Ball event raises funds for the Ronald McDonald House in Westmead, and the company that runs the Ball donates 100% of the proceeds. Obviously, this year has been different from every other.
With COVID-19, the Ball couldn’t be held. But, the company still raised around $10,000 for charity. On their Facebook page, they detail their goals for the Ball.
“All funds raised go towards the refurbishment and maintenance of the current house at Westmead. In the past, the Ball has raised annually between $18,000 and $22,000. To date, these funds have helped to build a new roof for the house and to refurbish 4 family kitchenettes for example.”
Now we can get back to HotFoot and their crazy awesome performance.
To finish off their routine, the dancers begin to dance at full-speed while staying in perfect alignment with each other. They do some complex moves and keep the clapping going to end the show.
People all over the internet loved HotFoot’s dance routine. There were so many comments and likes on the videos. No one could get enough of the incredible performance.

Many people commented that they wanted to learn how to line dance, and Mooney pinned a comment to the top of the section detailing how to get into dancing.
Dancers are people who dedicate their lives to their craft. They have incredible talent and continue to inspire and motivate people years after they performed this routine.
