Being a parent is one of the most wonderful blessings in one’s life. While having kids is a blessing, taking care of them is another thing.
Especially if you are a single parent who needs to attend to your professional responsibilities at work.
Juggling between parenting and being a professional isn’t easy, and never will be.
Thankfully, a man thought of offering his services to the public.
He aims to provide a skill set of an ideal parent to whoever needs him. But of course, all of these comes with a price.
His name is Jake Orr and he is ready to be at your service.
He is a truck driver from New South Wales and he decided to change his path as a professional. So, from a truck driver, he jumped into being a “daddy for rent.”
Yes, you read that last line right! On his Facebook account, he started his “Rent A Daddy” business which targets everyone in need of an ideal parent/dad.
Because of the pandemic, business establishments have been temporarily closed, and unfortunately, for some, a total closure. Amid all this global economic chaos, he thought that it’s the best time to offer his services.
As advertised on his Facebook account:
“Has your baby daddy been acting up? Tired of him playing games? Does he put drugs and his mates before his kids? Get yourself a Rent-A-Daddy!”
It may sound like a joke to many, but his ad is pretty detailed.
Not convinced? See it yourself and be the judge.
His services include dropping off and picking up the kids at school or daycare. Attending to ALL sporting events, and a dedicated 3 hours of instructional learning of valuable life skills like car maintenance and mowing the lawn.
Is that too detailed for a joke? It sounds like Orr is not messing around with his business. And before you continue reading his ad, you might as well take note of this early. He rates his service at $30.00 per hour. If that isn’t too much for you then please proceed with ease.
“Trying out a new career move to get away from trucks so everybody get onboard and support your boy. Rent a daddy today”
His services also include some “extras.”
By the looks of it, his business is not limited to babysitting or anything that involves kids. His “Rent A Daddy” business also includes being introduced to the client’s family and to the rest of the world.
Per the advertisement, he is willing to attend family events and birthday parties. Now, if the family wants a selfie with him, he is also up to it. When it comes to social media status, you can show him off to the world wide web! How about that?
Though the exact amount is not indicated in his ad, please note that all these come with an extra fee.
One thing that potential clients need to take note of regarding Orr’s services- he didn’t mention anything about doing household chores like cleaning and cooking.
Intrigued or decided to hire him?
You can contact him directly on his social media accounts. For now what we know is that he accepts various forms of payment including cash, debit, afterpay, and Zip pay. No cancellation, early termination, or refund policy (if there’s any) mentioned in the ad, so it’s really best to talk to him directly.
You better hurry because it looks like his ad already went viral. There’s no harm in trying.
Orr’s idea might ignite a new trend. For those interested, hurry up, send him a message and let us know if it’s legit or not.
