School talent shows are always fun to watch.
You see kids showcasing their raw or hidden talents, and you also see enthusiasts and even those who are there just for the sake of entertaining the crowd.
It is one of the most anticipated school events which usually takes place in front of teachers, parents, and fellow classmates (gulp).
For a school talent show to be successful, students need to commit to hours of practice at school or even at home.
It is something that they really look forward to. However, not all the participating students share the same feeling- for some of the kids, it is a nerve-racking situation.
Good thing this group of young boys are more than ready to pull the house down with their epic performance.
A school event that will be remembered – forever!
The video of their performance was uploaded on YouTube back in 2016.
According to the video’s description, Jenkins, Cale, Dennon, Tias, Cole, Liam, and Skyler were 5th graders from Jackson Elementary in Norman, Oklahoma. They were set to have a blast and no one (except them) knew what was about to go down that day!
And the emcee said, “take it away… ladies?”
It was not the usual introduction after hearing the boys’ names. It wasn’t wrong though, their names were right, absolutely right!
When the curtain opened and boys walked toward the center of the stage, that’s when things became clearer than crystal.
They were in their jerseys and… skirts?
The crowd already went wild with their cheers right at that moment. They knew that they were up for an awesome treat from the young boys.
“Put your hands in the air!”
The boys first bust it out to D-J Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win” and they all throw their hands up in the air. As they continuously wave their hands up and down, you feel the energy inside the auditorium rising too!
They also danced to a Beyoncé hit!
And still “put your hands up”, but this time, it’s a call for all the “Single Ladies” out there. The boys hilariously shake their hips from left to right.
They are all smiles while shaking it out to Queen Bey’s multi-award-winning single.
Are you ready to “Party In The USA?”
Well, these boys are, whether you are or not.
After the first two songs, we now know that they are doing a dance routine to a mashup of some hit songs of the 20th century.
They all dearly sway their hips to a Miley Cyrus song. The boys also form a line and execute a series of waves using their entire bodies.
We’re not sure if you saw it too, but there seems to be a person in front of them, their choreographer or teacher, perhaps?
An all-boys group wouldn’t miss the “dab!”
While maintaining their line formation, they take turns flashing their trademark dabs! They are finally dancing to a timely song of ‘iLoveMemphis’ titled “Lean And Dabb”.
Actually it’s a combination of some hit dance songs.
As the lyrics say:
“Wake up in the morning then I dab
Had to pull up on the block ’cause today I get to whip
And you know my top drop and my car’s name is nae-nae
Had to hit the Quan ’cause today is a good day”
Just moments later, these 5th graders are onto another funny part of their routine.
It’s rare to accept “NO” as an answer, unless it’s the hit song of Meghan Trainor back in 2016.
The boys gear up for the next part of their performance and show their swan-like ballerina moves.
Though their movements are far from the professional male ballerinas, their act still filled the place with hearty laughs and wild cheers from the crowd.
They are all-in with it as they do the signature tip-toe spin while wearing their big smiles.

The music tones down but the roars from the audience continue.
Pretty soon, the boys pair up to some romantic music playing in the background. They pick each other up, spin, and dance romantically in pairs.
And just seconds after, they are up for the “running man” challenge.
Who can forget this viral dance challenge?
According to a website:
“The Running Man Challenge was created by New Jersey high school students Kevin Vincent and Jeremiah Hall. Around five months ago, the boys started posting Instagram videos of themselves dancing to the song “My Boo,” a 1995 R&B track by Ghost Town DJs.”
Finally, it’s time to say “Bye Bye Bye!”
It’s the best song-ender, don’t you think? What other songs could top this megahit pop piece by one of the most famous boybands in the world, NSYNC!
We may not know if the event was a competition or not but either way- this group of seven boys definitely put the stomp down and left a lasting impression in our minds and hearts.
Don’t forget to watch their performance in the video below.
