First step

Preheat the oven to 400-degrees Fahrenheit. Set 12 slices of bread in an oven rack so they’re upright. Toast the bread for five minutes or until golden brown.

Second step

Remove the bread from the oven. Reduce the oven temperature to 325-degrees Fahrenheit. Place six of the now-toasted bread slices in a deep baking pan.

Third step

On top of the toasted bread, spread Swiss cheese. Then, place the remaining bread slices on top of the cheese. Set aside.

Fourth step

In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, baking powder, heavy cream, and flour. Next, add a little bit of salt and pepper. Thoroughly blend and pour over the cheese-stuffed bread.

Fifth step

Prepare three different topping mixtures.

One consists of feta cheese, diced tomatoes, and sliced olives, another of chopped mushrooms, fried bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese, and the last one of diced bell pepper, chopped up hot dogs, and a scallion.

Sixth step

Add the toppings to the top of the bread. For this, two slices will have the first topping, two will have the second topping, and two will have the third topping.

Be sure to alternate so that only two slices of bread have the same toppings.

Preheat the oven to 400-degrees Fahrenheit. Place 12 slices of bread so they’re standing upright in an oven rack. Toast the bread for five minutes. Remove the bread from the oven and lower the temperature to 325-degrees Fahrenheit. Place six of the slices of toasted bread on the bottom of a deep baking dish.

On top of six slices of bread, spread the shredded swiss cheese. Set the remaining six slices of toasted bread on top of the cheese. Now, you’ll need a large mixing bowl.

In the bowl, place the eggs, baking powder, heavy cream, and flour.

Add a small amount of salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly. If wanted, you can blend the ingredients. With that done, pour the egg mixture over the swiss cheese-stuffed bread, covering all the slices evenly.

Set the baking dish aside. For the toppings, you’ll need three small bowls.

In one, mix the feta cheese, tomatoes, and sliced olive. In the second bowl, mix the bacon, mushrooms, and cheddar cheese. And in the third bowl, mix the final three toppings of bell pepper, hot dog, and scallion.

Sprinkle the toppings on the bread so that only two slices have the same mixture.

In other words, two will have the toppings from the first bowl, two from the second bowl, and two from the third bowl. Place the baking dish back in the oven and cook for 25 minutes.

Remove the dish from the oven and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Then, cut into finger sandwiches or serve them whole.
