Everyone enjoys coffee cakes, and we all try to have one at home at all times in case a friend stops by to say hi.

And, even though most store-bought cakes are delicious, there’s nothing better than a homemade cake that you have prepared yourself.

It’s even better when it’s easy.

Homemade cakes are much healthier than the ones we buy at the store, we know exactly what is in there, and, of course, preparing them brings the family together.

Now, with the recipe we’re bringing to you today, you’ll see that making a cake at home also saves time.

Fewer ingredients mean less time.

That’s right. The recipe that follows not only requires only a handful of ingredients, but it also takes minimum time to prepare.

And the best part, you don’t even need an oven to make it, which makes this recipe super student-friendly.

First of all, make sure you have the following ingredients on hand before you start working on this cake.

Here’s what you’ll need.

  • 10 gr butter
  • 50 gr condensed milk
  • 6 pineapple rings
  • 1 egg
  • 100 gr condensed milk
  • 2 gr vanillin
  • 100 ml milk
  • 160 gr flour
  • 8 gr baking powder

Now you can get started by putting the butter in a pan with a lid. Let the butter melt and then add 50 gr of condensed milk. Stir to combine.

Once the mixture is brought to the boil, arrange the pineapple rings in the pan on top of the butter and milk mixture. Remove from the heat.

Then, move on to the cake batter.

In a bowl, combine the egg, 100 gr of condensed milk, and vanillin. Whisk well with a hand-held mixer until it’s frothy.

Add the fresh milk, and flour, and whisk again until you get a thin batter.

Then, add the baking powder and gently mix using a spoon or spatula.

Bring the pineapple mixture to a boil.

Then add the cake batter on top. Close the lid of the pan, and bake the cake until a toothpick inserted in it comes out clean.

Time for the toothpick

Make sure you do the toothpick test in spots that are thick rather than thin because those parts take longer to bake.

Once the cake is ready, remove the pan from the heat and turn it upside down in a serving dish.

The end result will impress you.

The pineapple rings look beautiful on top, and the butter and milk that are also there give it a caramelized appearance that will make your guests’ mouths water.
