Mix crushed biscuits with nuts and butter for delicious 5-minute ‘New Year’s’ pie

Looking for a festive dessert recipe for New Year’s Eve that will wow your family and friends? How about one that you can make in five minutes without any baking?

How about one doesn’t use condensed milk, gelatin, or flour? Nope, it’s not too good to be true.

It’s an insanely delicious deep dish Nutella and biscuit pie that is decorated simply but to perfection.

It’s heaven in a pie.

All you do is crush up your cookies and nuts and mix them with butter to form a crust.

Then you mix your Nutella and half of your cream cheese together. You pour that in your crust.

Then you mix some whipped cream, sugar, and cream cheese together and pour it on top of your chocolate mixture.

Then sprinkle the top with chopped nuts and drizzle with chocolate. Pop it in the fridge for a few hours and you’re done. And again, just five minutes to make.

Ingredients:

  • 200g biscuits or cookies (Kehe biscuits are used in this recipe)
  • 100g nuts (walnuts are used in this recipe)
  • 80g butter (melted)
  • a pinch of salt
  • 18cm springform pan
  • 200 g
  • 200 g Nutella chocolate
  • 400g cream cheese (divided evenly)
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 200 ml cream 33%
  • Nuts and chocolate for decorating

Instructions:

Step 1) Crush up your biscuits or cookies until they are fine crumbs. You might want to use a food processor or an immersion blender for this.

Step2) Next you’re going to crush up your walnuts finely, just as you did your biscuits.

Step 3) Mix your biscuit and walnut crumbs together until well combined.

Step 4) Pour in your melted butter and mix. Your dough should be stiff and keep its shape but not be oily.

Step 5) Line the sides of an 18 cm. springform pan with parchment paper, then press your dough into the pan to create a crust. You’ll want to make sure the dough covers the sides of the pan and takes the shape of a pan.

Step 6) In a separate bowl, pour in 200g of cream cheese.

Step 7) Pour in 200 g of Nutella and use an electric mixer to mix.

Step 8) Pour this mixture into your cake crust.

Step 9) Whip 200 ml of 33 percent cream in a separate bowl with an electric mixer. Mix in 50g of powdered sugar and beat until peaks form.

Step 10) In another bowl, whip the other 200g of your cream cheese.

Step 11) Pour your whipped cream mixture into the bowl with your whipped cream cheese and mix together with an electric mixer.

Step 12) Pour this mixture on top of your chocolate mixture in the springform pan.

Step 13) Sprinkle nuts on top of this

Step 14) Drizzle melted chocolate or more Nutella on the top of your cake in a pleasing pattern

Step 15) Let it refrigerate for a few hours before you serve it, then remove the springform pan.

Step 16) Peel away your parchment paper.

Step 17) You’ll be left with a delicious deep-dish chocolate pie.

It’s a decadent dessert that you’ll be glad to ring in the new year with!
