That’s because this homemade fudge actually has whiskey in it as well. That’s right, today’s recipe is for some easy, no-bake Jack Daniel’s fudge which you should be able to whip together, no problem. Even if you don’t drink whiskey very often, the extra smoky flavor from the Jack Daniel’s combined with the sweet richness of the chocolate is sure to check off all the boxes for a perfect bite-sized dessert. Still, all you cooks out there should be warned: this recipe definitely still has alcohol content in it when it’s finished since it doesn’t get baked. As such, this dessert is only for mom and dad. Let’s get started.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 3 1/2 cups of chocolate chips (of your choosing)
  • 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of Jack Daniel’s whiskey

Here’s what you do:

1. To start things off, get out a baking dish and line it with aluminum foil. In the meantime, get a large, microwave-safe bowl and pour in your chocolate chips. Throw it in the microwave and melt it, being careful to follow any instructions that may be on the bag.

2. Once the chocolate is melted, add in your condensed milk, vanilla and whiskey, whisking everything together until it’s even and well-combined.

3. After that, pour the fudge mix into your baking dish. Cover the dish with more aluminum foil and let it set for about four to eight hours on the counter. Just before you’re ready to eat, pop the tray in the fridge for one more hour.

4. When you take the fudge out of the fridge, slice it up and enjoy! Be sure to store your fudge in an airtight container in the fridge; it should keep for about two weeks.

As you can see, this recipe truly couldn’t be simpler to put together—and it doesn’t even require any baking. While the original instructions call for Jack Daniel’s, if you have another whiskey or bourbon that you prefer, feel free to mix that in as well. If you follow the directions correctly, the result should be a soft and chewy chocolate treat with just a little bit of kick from the whiskey. Still, the alcohol and the chocolate flavors should complement each other well.

Just like our other recipes, this one still has room to innovate as you see fit. Though you can use plain milk chocolate chips to make the base of this, you can also go for a richer flavor by using dark chocolate chunks or by mixing the two kinds of chips together. If you want to get really fancy, you could even add in a little bit of chili powder to give it even more kick. Above all, have fun with this dish and let us know what you think!
