She’s turned many a kitchen novice into a culinary hero by making elaborate dishes look both easy and fun in under a minute.

Since summertime is a great excuse to indulge in some seafood, Shareably has partnered with the kitchen magician to bring you 3 easy and fun fishy recipes: Salt-Crusted Trout, a Seafood Boil, and a mouthwatering Lobster Roll!

We promise that even if you don’t intend on firing up your oven, the video itself is enough to entertain.

But if you are in the mood for some yummy seafood, give these recipes a try:

Salt-Crusted Trout

Ok, so we don’t have exact amounts of ingredients here, but once you see the whole recipe take shape, you’ll know what you need to make this beautiful dish.

Half the fun of being in the kitchen is experimenting with flavors!

To begin your adventure, gather the following ingredients along with a sheet pan, aluminum foil, a sharp knife, and a bowl.

  • Speckled trout
  • Lemons (seriously, a lot of them)
  • Bunch of fresh parsley
  • Bunch of fresh thyme
  • Fresh dill
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Butter, capers, and garlic for the dipping sauce

1. Dry off the trout with a paper towel (petting the dead trout is optional).

2. Score the fish with a sharp knife, like so:

3. Slice up your lemons.

Lots of lemons.

4. Line a sheet pan with aluminum foil and add olive oil so your fish doesn’t stick.

Nobody likes scraping their fish off the sheet pan!

5. Use your bunch of parsley to make a “fish bed” on the pan and add the lemon slices on top.

6. Now, you’re going to need some decapitation skills for this recipe because the next step is to chop off some fish head (and probably tail) if Mr. Trout is going to fit comfortably on his bed.

7. If you’re squeamish about that, then enjoy de-boning your fish as the next step!

8. After he’s devoid of his skeleton, slice him open at the belly and add some more lemon slices along with thyme and more parsley.

(Hey, it might sound gruesome, but you are eating an animal, so you might as well do the dirty work!)

9. Now, squeeze the juice from a lemon into a bowl and add salt and pepper to taste. Then mix it together and give your fish a little massage with it.

Make sure you get the inside of the crevices you scored earlier – and you can even add some more lemon slices in there too!

10. Top him off with some more lemon juice, dill (to taste), and a drizzle of olive oil.

11. Now, take the time to admire his beauty before putting him in the oven to bake!

Balesky suggests serving the trout with garlic caper lemon butter (which involves mixing those ingredients together until they taste good) and even adding one more squirt of lemon juice before you dig in.

It’ll all be worth it (well, maybe not for the trout) once you’re dipping that delicious fish into some butter!

Yum!

Now let’s go Cajun for our next recipe:

Cajun Seafood Boil

Remember, it’s fun to wing it sometimes, so add these ingredients in the amounts that you like them:

  • Parsley
  • Thyme
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Hot sauce
  • Cajun seasoning
  • White wine vinegar
  • Butter
  • 5-6 mini red potatoes
  • 2-3 ears of corn, cut into 3-4 inch chunks
  • Shrimp
  • A nice, big crab

1. First, grab a big stockpot, add “a ton” of water, then set it to boil.

2. Next, add a handful of parsley, thyme, peeled garlic, a quartered onion, hot sauce, Cajun seasoning, and white wine vinegar to taste. Then throw in half a stick of butter and half a lemon.

Quite a soup, right?

3. In a separate saucepan, add the other half of your stick of butter, some chopped garlic, a pinch of parsley leaves, however many dashes of hot sauce suit you, and some more of your Cajun seasoning.

4. Cook the concoction in the second pan on low heat while your stockpot mixture boils away.

Don’t forget to enjoy the smells!!

5. Once your stock is ready, toss out the big chunks (the lemon, onion, etc.) and add your whole mini potatoes (about 5).

6. Then add your corn and cook for 15 minutes.

7. While everything is cooking, rinse your shrimp.

8. Then, add your shrimp and crab legs to the stockpot.

9. Once your seafood is done cooking, get out all the good stuff (the seafood, potatoes, and corn) and put it in a bowl.

10. Add the butter concoction from the saucepan to the seafood bowl and mix it all up.

Now, admire your creation!

11. To finish, just add some parsley and give it a good stare down until you decide how you’re going to tackle eating it!

It’s probably not the kind of thing you want to see someone eat on a first date, but it looks pretty darn delicious to us!

You’re going to need the following before you get started:

  • A nice, big, dead, cold lobster
  • Green onion
  • Celery
  • Fresh parsley
  • A lemon
  • Mayonaisse
  • Salt and pepper
  • A stick of butter

1. Thank your lobster for its sacrifice, then cook ’em!

2. Next, you’re going to need to take him apart so you can pry out the meat.

(Balesky recommends saving the lobster shells so you can make a delicious lobster stock at some point in the future.)

3. In a bowl, mix together finely chopped green onion, minced celery, chopped parsley, lemon zest, and a little squeeze of lemon juice.

4. Now, add some mayo, salt, and pepper to the bowl and mix it some more. It should taste delicious.

5. Next, get a saucepan and put it on medium heat to melt 1-2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, turn off the heat.

6. Chop up your lobster meat and add it to the pan and toss.

7. Then, add your buttery lobster meat to the bowl of dressing, mix, and try not to eat it all right out of the bowl.

8. Get your bun, cut it in half, and toast it.

(You can do this in the oven or by putting it face down in the saucepan you just used and turning the heat back on.)

9. Add a big piece of lettuce to your bun (you know, to make it healthy) and then put in your lobster!

10. Now EAT! (And remember to pick a good white wine to go with it!)
