Plant Food

A lot of plants need more than just soil and water to grow well. In fact, some need food to help them process sunlight and become established. You don’t have to spend a lot of money at your local garden center to get healthy plants; you can use baking soda. Just mix a small amount with some water and water your plants as normal. The baking soda will help them thrive, and it’s affordable and something you probably already have in your home.

Tenderize Meat

Baking soda has the ability to absorb moisture, and that’s why it makes a great meat tenderizer. Simply sprinkle it over your steak or meat of choice and stick it in the refrigerator. After it has set for several hours, take the meat out and rinse the baking soda off it. Then, you can season it as desired and cook as you normally would. You will notice that your meats are much easier to cut and chew and may even absorb the seasoning better.
