Who would say no to a good cheesecake? This delectable dessert is surely a crowd-pleaser, delighting people with that mix of tangy and sweetness of the creamy cheese filling.
As one of the most popular desserts, the cheesecake has branched into different variations. This can make any dessert-lover a bit intimidated when it comes to creating their own.
The good news is we have a recipe for a no-bake cheesecake that takes less than an hour to make.
All that goodness and in that short span of time? Sounds too good to be true, right? For this recipe, you will need ingredients that are most likely in your house already like a mug and your favorite cookie treat.
This recipe isn’t only limited to cookie flavors. You can also use fruits like mango, berries, peaches, or kiwi. Let’s see the ingredients below.
For this recipe you’ll need:
2 ounces or 60g of cold Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 ½ tbsp. of sugar
2 ounces or 60g of cold heavy cream
½ teaspoon of vanilla
Cookie or toppings of your choice.
For this recipe, Emma from Emma’s Goodies will show us how to make Biscoff, Cookies and Cream, and Chocolate hazelnut cheesecake.
Let’s make the cheesecake!
First, combine the cream cheese, sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla in one mixing bowl. These quantities are good for one mug.
Remember to use cold ingredients! Refrigerate your cream and cream cheese overnight but don’t freeze. This will make your mixture firmer and denser.
For the chocolate hazelnut cheesecake, you can add a heaping teaspoon of Nutella. For the Biscoff cheesecake, use cookie butter. Then for the cookies and cream, crush some Oreo cookies. Mix your cream cheese until all ingredients are properly incorporated.
Next, let’s make the crust.
A traditional cheesecake will ask you to break your crust into crumbs, like a biscuit or cracker, then mix all of that with melted butter. We won’t do any of that!
Just break your cookie or biscuits into chunks that can cover the bottom of the mug. This will give your dessert texture. Grinding the cookies coarser or finer is up to you.
Then, scoop the cream cheese mixture into the crust-lined mugs.
Use a folding motion when scooping the mixture so it can retain its body. Distribute the cream cheese mixture evenly inside the mug.
For the icing, put a spoonful of Nutella and Biscoff spread in microwave-safe containers. Throw them into your microwave and set the timer to fifteen seconds.
Then, decorate your cheesecake mugs.
Pour the icing over the cheesecake then spread it evenly. If you opt for a plain cheesecake with fruit toppings, you can put sliced or fruit preserves on top.
Refrigerate for a little while to chill the cakes. Again, the cheesecake flavors are highly customizable so you can try out different toppings.
Serve and enjoy!
