Everyone loves a good slow cooker recipe because you can set it and forget it. This recipe for barbecue pulled chicken couldn’t get any easier with only two ingredients, chicken and barbecue sauce.

Not only is it easy to make, but you can make enough at once to last you an entire week. Here’s how…

Ingredients:

  • boneless skinless chicken breast (you can use as much or as little as you want)
  • barbecue sauce (between 18 oz and 32 oz depending on your preference)

Directions:

First, place your chicken breast into the pot. You can probably fit an entire package or about five pounds of chicken into it.

Then pour in enough barbecue sauce to cover your chicken entirely, you can use up to two bottles for this. Set your slow cooker to the low setting and pop on the lid. Let it cook between five to six hours.

You can leave it in a little longer than that if you’re heading to work for the day.

Next, pull out your chicken onto a dish and shred it up with a knife and fork. Your chicken will be super tender so you’ll be able to shred it easily. Then spoon on some of your barbecue sauce that’s still in the crockpot for more flavoring.

The sauce will have a liquid consistency. So, you may want to add some extra barbecue sauce straight from the bottle before you eat it if you like your sauce thicker. Keep in mind that you can vary this recipe and substitute barbecue sauce for salad dressing or buffalo sauce.

Enjoy!
