If there’s one chef that doesn’t need introducing, it’s Jamie Oliver. The man who is sometimes referred to as ‘The Naked Chef’ is immensely popular and constantly surprises us with great recipes and intuitive food hacks to take your cuisine to a whole new level.

In a recent YouTube video, the chef revealed three ways to create the perfect scrambled eggs: an English, French and American variation.

Three different ways to cook them, but they’re all just as tasty.

English scrambled eggs

You’ll need around two eggs per person and it’s best to use a medium heat setting on the furnace. Whish the eggs in a small cup and put a bit of butter in a pan. Add a little bit of salt and throw the scrambled eggs in the pan as well. Use a spatula to stir every five seconds.

Because the pan will probably still be hot even after you turn the stove off, there’s a clever trick you can use to prevent the scrambled eggs from burning. Just create a small pile in one half of the pan. Serve with some toast and you’ve got yourself some fantastic English scrambled eggs.

French scrambled eggs

Of course, having a little bit of variation in the kitchen is never a bad idea. The French style involves cooking the eggs bain-marie. In other words, scramble the eggs in a heat-resistant bowl and put it on top of a pot with boiling water.

Eggs cook at a low temperature, and it can definitely take a while before they’re fully cooked. After about six minutes, add a few small blocks of butter and stir well. Et voila! Your scrambled eggs are served, completely in the French style. Compared to the English variant, these scrambled eggs taste more refined.

American scrambled eggs

Last but not least, the American way of making scrambled eggs! Put some salt in the scrambled egg mixture and use some butter in a frying pan. Throw in the eggs and use a spatula to create sheets in the mixture. Keep on gently making these sheets and when the mixture is solid, your scrambled American-styled eggs are ready to serve.

By using this method, there will be both cooked and somewhat uncooked parts to get the best of both worlds. If you haven’t tried this method out yet, it’s definitely a great way to start your day.
