But this dish isn’t just about cheese.

It incorporates potatoes, which have been a staple comfort food since the 1970s.

Even if you’ve cooked with these ingredients numerous times, this unique combination will offer a fresh and delightful experience.

The dish is aptly named “meatballs with potato puree and vegetables.”

It’s not only hearty and comforting but also has a touch of healthiness, thanks to the inclusion of shredded cabbage.

The best part? You can easily prepare this dish with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.

And while it might look intricate, it’s surprisingly straightforward to make.

Here’s what you’ll need.

For the puree, gather 5 potatoes, 50 grams of cheddar cheese, 3 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of salt, and some allspice and mint.

For the meatballs, you’ll need 500 grams of ground beef, 2 eggs, 150 grams of cabbage, 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 2 garlic cloves, 1 onion, 1 teaspoon of salt, 3 tablespoons of wheat flour, and a mix of black pepper, cumin, paprika, thyme, and parsley.

Lastly, for the sauce, prepare 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and 1.5 cups of water.

And for the final touch, have 100 grams of cheddar cheese on hand.

Start by boiling your potatoes until they’re soft.

While they’re cooking, finely chop your cabbage, which will be used in the meatballs.

Next, it’s time to make the meatballs. Combine all the meatball ingredients in a large bowl, mixing them thoroughly.

Shape this mixture into oval patties and place them in a baking dish.

You should end up with about 10 meatballs.

Then, use your fingers to create a small well in the center of each meatball.

Once your potatoes are cooked, mash them and mix in the other puree ingredients.

Shape this potato mixture into smaller oval patties and place them in the wells you created in the meatballs.

Top everything off with a sauce made from the tomato paste and water.

The final step is baking.

Sprinkle a generous amount of cheese over the dish and bake it for 35 to 45 minutes.

Once it’s cooked through and the cheese is melted to your liking, take it out, garnish with some herbs, and get ready to enjoy a mouthwatering meal.
