And the best part about ice cream? You can actually make it at home!

It’s super easy to make. Plus, it tastes really good. Take note that you won’t even need an ice cream maker for this.

To make your own ice cream, you’ll only need 6 ingredients.

And if you’re always making desserts at home, there’s a good chance that you already have most of them in your kitchen.

To get started, here’s a list of what you’ll need:

  • 4 cups of ice cubes
  • 1/4 cup raspberries or blueberries
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup rock salt
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract

The recipe is just good for one person.

If you’re planning on sharing with a sibling or your friend, you can just adjust the quantity. Or you can just politely say that it’s not enough for two.

For the first step, mix the cream, berries, vanilla extract, and sugar in a Ziploc bag.

Make sure that you’re using a sandwich-size bag. By using a Ziploc bag, you won’t have to worry about washing dirty bowls after you’re done making your desert. It’s quite convenient, right?

In a separate Ziploc bag, mix your rock salt and ice.

Now, take the smaller bag and place it inside the bigger one.

Give the bag a good shake.

Try to do it for around 10 minutes. Now, it does sound like a lot of time but patience is important. Just consider it as exercise right before you indulge in your favorite dessert.
