Scotch Eggs are made by wrapping soft boiled eggs in sausage meat, dipping them in bread crumbs, and then deep-frying them, and have been around since the 1800s.

But it’s not Scotch Eggs that are the talk of the town anymore, mainly because deep-fried deviled eggs are quickly becoming a new food-lover favorite.

First, you’ll want to cut the eggs in half and scoop out all the yolks into a bowl. Once your yolks are together in a bowl, add your Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, pickle relish, hot sauce, and season with salt and pepper. After that, mash yolks together repeatedly until they’re smoothly blended together. Place the mixture into a piping bag or plastic bag, removing one of the corners.

If you don’t have an actual deep fryer, put approximately 2 inches of vegetable oil in medium style pot with the stove temperature on medium. Place your beaten eggs, panko bread crumbs, and flour in three separate bowls.

After you’ve gotten your fried egg whites to the right crispness, use paper towels to drain excess grease. Once you’ve done that, you can add the yolk mixture directly onto the middle of the fried egg and top them with the garnish of paprika.
