A TikTok user who goes by the username Nurse Tara @officialtiktoknurse will show us how to properly use a plastic wrap.
In fact, it’s not about the proper usage but the proper storing instead.
Before we go ahead and thank her, we should also thank her aunt who was the real key to her discovery of this life hack.
On a TikTok video, she shared a story about her aunt who came over to her house. She said while she was prepping meals, her aunt saw her struggling to cover a pot with a plastic wrap, and then her aunt asked her…
“You know Saran Wrap’s supposed to go in the freeza, right?”
Say what, you put a plastic wrap inside the freezer?
Believe it or not, yes that’s what she said her aunt asked her. Normally, we store plastic wrap in the kitchen cabinet or drawers, and just about anywhere else in the kitchen- just not in the freezer.
Turns out we’ve been storing our plastic wrap in the wrong place the entire time. Her aunt is right, keeping them in the freezer makes them much easier to use, thus resulting in them being more efficient when in use.
So glad that there’s TikTok!
In the same video, she showed the actual proof of this life hack.
She put her plastic wrap in the freezer and took it out, and then crumpled it on purpose. Surprisingly, plastic wraps are really better when cold.
“Bro, where have I been? It wouldn’t of unwrinkled that easily if I didn’t put it in the freezer.”
