Sometimes, you just run out of ideas of what to cook.
If you can relate to this, then any recipe that is shared with you could be a lifesaver, especially when you’re planning meals ahead of time.
This one is loved by many.
We all want to prepare the best meal for ourselves and our loved ones, right?
YouTuber Galina of Lecker Schnell posted a recipe her subscribers love.
Flavorful and filling
It’s filling, full of flavor, and very easy to make. In fact, Galina said she prepares this dish three times a week.
We are pretty sure you’re as excited as we are. Let’s try these delicious stuffed pork chops.
Here are the ingredients:
- 1 medium-sized onion
- 1 medium-sized carrot
- 3 – 4 medium-sized mushrooms
- Vegetable oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- ~2 lbs of pork loin steak
- ~3/4 cup of cheese
For the marinade:
- Salt
- Pepper
- Paprika
- Italian herb mix
- 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
For the garnish:
- Dill
- Parsley
Optional:
- Sauce of your choice
Let’s get cooking:
First, go ahead and peel your onion and chop them finely, set them aside. Next, peel your carrot and grate it.
Get your mushrooms and wash them. Then, once they are dry, chop them into small pieces.
In a skillet, pour vegetable oil and sauté onions for around two minutes. Then, add your carrots and sauté them for another two minutes.
You can now add your mushrooms and continue cooking for another seven minutes.
Set your filling aside.
Get your pork loin and cut it into six wide steaks using a very sharp knife. On each steak, cut down the middle, around two inches deep. Set them aside.
In a bowl, combine salt, pepper, paprika powder, your favorite Italian seasoning, and four tablespoons of vegetable oil. Mix well.
Baste, baste, baste
Using a silicone brush, baste the chops front, back, and even on the inside of the cut.
Grate ~3/4 cup of cheese and mix it with your filling. Then, on each stake, put one tablespoon of filling inside.
Make sure that you fill each chop properly. We don’t want to end up with an empty chop, right?
Once you are done, get a grill pan and fry your chops in vegetable oil for around two to three minutes on both sides. This will give them nice grill marks.
In a baking pan, arrange all the fried stakes and cover with aluminum foil or damp parchment paper.
Bake for 25 minutes at 400℉.
While waiting, prepare your sauce and garnish. Chop your dill and parsley and set them aside.
This dish is filling, delicious and full of flavor, but you can also top it up a notch by adding side dishes.
You can add potato salads, coleslaw, green salad, or whatever side dish you’re craving.
Plate your stakes and top with garnish and sauce. Enjoy!
