What’s your favorite soup recipe? Whether it’s tomato soup, French onion or a gumbo, the world of soups is incredibly versatile. Still, we don’t always want a soup or a stew to be the main dish in a given meal. Still, if you have the right recipe, a delicious soup can still be the star of dinner—just as long as there is enough food to go around and it’s hearty enough. Fortunately, we have a recipe just like that for you to try out today.

Have you ever heard of goulash? Even if you have, not all of us have actually tried it out for ourselves. That’s why today, we’re going to make an old-fashioned goulash that has everything you love in it. The dish is packed with meat, onions, veggies, pasta and plenty of cheese. Even if you’ve never tried it before, this recipe is incredibly easy to throw together and ends up tasting amazing. So let’s get started.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 pounds of ground beef or turkey
  • 2 1/2 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup of beef broth
  • 1/3 cup of olive oil
  • 2 15-ounce cans of tomato sauce
  • 2 15-ounce cans of diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups of elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 cup of shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1 large yellow onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon of Adobo seasoning
  • 1/2 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of seasoned salt
  • 3 bay leaves

Here’s what you do:

1. To get started, throw some ground meat in a skillet in a medium-high heat until it’s cooked halfway through. When it’s done halfway through, take it off the heat. Next, add your garlic, onions, olive oil and keep cooking again until the meat is cooked all the way through.
