Are you sick of eating the same old snacks? Or are you looking for some simple hors d’oeuvres to make for your next get together?

Look no further, we found something that is just as easy to make as they are delicious.

Behold the bacon cheddar ranch pinwheel. And bacon + ranch always ends up being delicious so you know this is a safe bet that everyone will enjoy (except maybe for your vegetarian friends).

These bite sized pieces of absolute deliciousness are packed with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, yummy bacon, creamy ranch dressing, and chives. And they are so damn good.

If you want something with a little warmth to it you can add some jalapenos to your filling and switch out the tortillas for crescent roll dough.

Here’s how to make them both ways:

Cheddar Bacon Ranch Pinwheels

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. of softened cream cheese – $1.50
  • 1/4 cup of ranch dressing – $2.96 (with leftovers)
  • 1/2 cup of finely shredded cheddar cheese – $0.55
  • 6 pieces of cooked and chopping bacon – $1.84
  • 1 Tbsp. of minced chives – $0.32
  • 6 small/3 large flour tortillas – $1.16 OR 1 can of crescent roll dough – $1.99
  • 1 -2 Tbsp. diced jalapenos – $o.36

Tortilla Version Total Cost: $8.69 Cost Per Serving: 24 servings at $0.36 each

Tortilla Version Cook Time: 10-15 minutes to cook bacon; 10 minutes for assembly time

Crescent Roll Version Total Cost: $9.52 Cost Per Serving: 16 servings at about $0.59 each

Crescent Roll Version Cook Time: 10-15 minutes to cook bacon; 10 minutes assembly; 10 minutes bake time

Directions:

Step 1) Preheat your oven to 350 degrees if you plan on using crescent rolls. Take your bacon out of the refrigerator and start cooking your bacon strips in a frying pan for 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 2) Mix your cream cheese and ranch dressing in a mixing bowl until the contents are smooth.

Step 3) Next, stir in your cheddar cheese, bacon, and chives. Here’s where you can add your jalapenos if you want your pinwheels to have a little kick to them.

Step 4) Spread your mixture over your tortillas (If you’re using crescent rolls, skip over to Step 7).

Step 5) Roll your tortillas up and slice them into 1-inch pieces!

Step 6) Enjoy your tortilla pinwheels!

Step 7) If you’re using crescent rolls, separate your dough into rectangles. If the dough is shaped as perforated triangles, you can press the perforations together to solidify two triangles into one 12×4-inch rectangle piece.

Step 8) Spread your mixture over your dough. You can spread some more cheddar cheese over it if you want them extra cheesy.

Step 9) Roll up your dough and cut into 3/4″ slices.

Step 10) Place on a baking sheet lined with foil about 2″ apart and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until your dough becomes brown.
