"Out-of-the-box" cooking method is the perfect way to cook vegetables

You will never go wrong with eating vegetables. Not only they are delicious, but they also keep the body healthy and help lower the risks of having serious health problems.

Thankfully, the entire world is blessed with countless varieties of vegetables. The only thing left for us to do is consume them and make sure to do it on a daily basis.

According to WEB MD: “Since they’re low in calories but high in nutrients, most health experts recommend that you consume vegetables daily. There’s a scientific consensus that a balanced, rotating diet of different varieties of vegetables is one of the best ways to source nutrients from your food starting at a young age.”

They also added, “Vegetables are full of essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that provide many important health benefits to your body. For instance, carrots are known for being very high in vitamin A, which plays an important role in eye health, as you grow older.”

But if you worry about gaining weight, then this all-vegetable recipe is the best for you.

According to Maria Elena of Poland, the owner and the brilliant mind behind the recipes on the YouTube channel called ‘Healthy Recipes’, there is nothing you should worry about in consuming this delicious all-vegetable dish every day.

“I eat day and night and I’m thin. You will love this cooking method. Eat and lose weight,” she wrote in the video’s title.

The ingredients? Yes, vegetables.

For the main dish:

  • 1 piece large cabbage
  • Salt
  • 1 piece large carrot
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 broccoli head
  • 2 zucchini (courgettes)
  • 4 pieces of large sweet potatoes
  • Caraway seeds
  • Black pepper
  • Herbes de Provence

For the sauce:

  • 100 grams of sour cream
  • Pickles
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Dill

Step 1: Chop the cabbage into strips, put it in a large mixing bowl, add salt, knead to soften the cabbage, and set aside for later.

Step 2: Peel the carrot and mince it using a grater. Chop the onion, remove the broccoli heads, and slice and dice the courgettes and sweet potato. Put each ingredient in a separate bowl.

Step 3: Grab a large baking package and put each ingredient inside in a layered manner. Before sealing it, don’t forget to add your spices – caraway seeds, black pepper, and Herbes de Provence. Next, shake it well to mix all the ingredients and spices inside, then seal it by tying its end firmly.

Step 4: Lay it flat on a metal baking sheet and bake it under 390° Fahrenheit (200°C) for 45 to 50 minutes.

Step 5: While waiting, you can go ahead and prepare the sauce by mixing 100 grams of sour cream with grated pickles, pressed clove of garlic, and chopped dill.

Step 6: When your oven’s timer is up, take your main dish out and cut the packaging open on top to make way for hungry family members. Don’t forget to add the sauce!
