Before you get intimidated by the pictures, let me remind you that anyone can make this. The secret? A humble slow cooker. Cakes can be involve a lot of work, but with a slow cooker, all you need to do is dump all the ingredients together. Affectionately dubbed as a “dump cake,” this white chocolate cherry cake is the perfect dessert to any meal. Add ice cream to it, and it’s sure to satisfy any craving!
INGREDIENTS:
- 21 ounce can Cherry Pie Filling
- 15.25 ounce Yellow Cake Mix
- 1 Stick Butter (1/2 cup), melted
- 1 Cup White Chocolate Chips
- Non-Stick Cooking Oil Spray
First, you’ll want to spray your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. You don’t want your cake to be stuck!
Spread cherry pie filling onto the slow cooker.
Then add the yellow cake mix on top.
Drizzle the melted butter over this cake mixture
.
Then top it off with some white chocolate chips.
Cook on high for 2.5-3 hours, or until the cake is set in the middle. Set slow cooker to warm until ready to serve.
