For us parents, one of the hardest things that we do every day is leave home for work. And the pain of being away from our babies is almost impossible to bear.
Well, lucky are those parents who get to work in the convenience of their homes and still spend the entire day beside their beloved little ones. However, not all are given that chance and privilege, right?
Most of us spend long hours at the office, sometimes missing the milestones and firsts of our babies. It’s a sad and inevitable reality. But hey, put your chins up parents, you’re still doing a great job, an exceptional one if I may say.
Our babies miss us as much as we miss them!
More than ten years ago, Maritza Van Cott shared a heartwarming video of her twin baby girls Anabel and Lydia.
It shows the adorable reaction of the twins as they welcome dad home.
Did they really miss dad? Well, the twins were just seven months old so we can’t actually tell if they did.
After all, babies of their age are still exploring things around them and just taking things slowly, one crawl at a time.
The video started with the twins seated in their play area when, out of nowhere, they seemed to hear footsteps fast approaching their direction.

We simply can’t get enough of the look of curiosity the two adorable baby girls had. We’re not even sure if they know what or who is coming, what we certainly know is that they’re beyond curious.
Babies have this unique and adorable perception of things and the people around them. Their body senses are just developing and they are just slowly adjusting to about everything.
Also, Anabel and Lydia were still infants when the video was taken.
According to Britannica:
“Infants are able to recognize familiar faces despite variations in expression and perspective. They also can discriminate gender in faces. Most infants show preferences for females; however, infants who are handled primarily by males express preference for male faces.”
These babies are melting our hearts!
When dad finally walked into the room, that’s when their hilarious reactions showed up. Just look at those cute little faces! They’re so innocent yet adorable! And I bet you’ll smile too!
Seriously, who could resist those angelic faces? I love it when the baby in green was already smiling while the baby in pink was still processing things.
The twins were all smiles when daddy said “hi!”
Just imagine yourself walking into a room with your baby flashing a huge smile at you.
It’s like the twins were saying, “Oh look, it’s daddy! How was your day daddy?” That tiring day at work will certainly vanish in an instant, wouldn’t you agree?
And dad was just as excited to see his twin baby girls!
That wide smile says it all! He’s smiling from ear to ear. We may not know how long has he been away, but we’re all glad and happy to see their reunion.

They are still all smiles! The girls in the photo are Anabel and Lydia, just seven years older from their cute video. Years may have passed but this family looks like they’re still rocking things with positivity.
