Well, she certainly flipped that little game right on its head.

This is the BEST way to respond to someone who questions you for being a heavy metal band fan.

A lot of us have been in home quarantine since the pandemic, which resulted in a lot of people spending more time on their social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

However, for the past couple of months, one social media app has had a breakthrough when it comes to its number of users, and it’s none other than TikTok.

TikTok is an online platform where users share short videos with lots of funny and creative filters. It is also being used to share wonderful home hacks, recipes, and even to promote products. It’s definitely a good app to socialize with millions of people around the world.

Sadly, it has its downsides too.

Internet trolls!

They are everywhere on the worldwide web, they always try to make a fool out of, and fun of, people by casting out annoying questions and remarks. They absolutely have nothing good to say about almost anything, they oftentimes use “fake” or “dummy” accounts in order for them not to be traced or identified.

Thankfully, there are people who can handle trolls, and handle them well. Just like this woman in a viral TikTok video.

When you are just trying to be a fangirl but someone questions your credibility as a fan… This happens.

TikTok user zariasmusic is a North Carolina-based musician and singer. Just recently, she posted a TikTok video wherein she’s wearing a “Ride the Lightning”-era Metallica T-shirt.

As expected, her credibility as a fan was questioned. Knowing they are an American heavy metal band, trolls began wheeling out the stereotypes and, of course, they were coupled with snary little questions.

The most common question was, “Name 3 Metallica songs”. She confidently responded, “Really? Only three? Only three songs?”

So to shut her critics up, she decides to grab her electric guitar to answer them.

Now, that’s how you answer a troll question. How about that as a response?

She plays “Master of Puppets,” “Enter Sandman,” and the guitar lead in “One”, all in an incredible display of her amazing guitar-playing skills.

When asked why she responded in such a way, TikTok user zariasmusic, also known as Joyner, told the Daily Dot:

“I decided to respond to that comment because I’ve been a Metallica fan for such a long time but I’d never showed that side of me on TikTok, I’ve been a self-taught guitarist since 15 and Metallica was the band that influenced me to pick it up and inspired my journey with music.”

Her response video went viral with over 500,000 views!

That’s pretty surprising when you were just trying to teach an internet troll a lesson, right? She can’t believe the immense amount of attention her response video has amassed for such a short period of time.

“I really just thought it would be funny and I didn’t expect the response that the video received,” she explained. Joyner also added that “the supportive comments just kept rolling in.”

She was blessed not only by that huge number of views but, in fact, Metallica themselves saw her video response and absolutely loved it.

On Joyner’s Instagram post the band wrote in the comments:

“Much love, Zaria! Your talent speaks volumes! 🤘🏻”

Guess being trolled is not half bad after all. This time it surprisingly led her to be noticed by her favorite band.

Let this be a lesson to all not only to the internet trolls out there, music has no gender, and that stereotypes have no place in this world!
