Cooking Kun enjoys sharing a lot of potato recipes.

If you ever wondered why South Korea has so many potato recipes, it is because potatoes in South Korea are grown in different seasons and locations.

According to www.potatopro.com, “the main potato variety in South Korea is “Sumi”, a potato that is high in starch and used as table stock. Korea also grows the “Daeji” potato, a variety planted in the southern parts of the peninsula during autumn.”

Enough of talk, though.

Let’s move on to the recipe.

What I love about this recipe is that you only need the main ingredient, which is the potato. Other ingredients, such as spices, are likely already in your kitchen cupboard. Easy peasy, right?

  • 1kg Potato (roughly 7 medium potatoes)
  • 2 tablespoons Potato starch powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
