A pep rally is an assembly of people, usually students of middle school, high school, and college age. It’s often done before a sports event to promote positive school spirit and to promote camaraderie among students. In short, it’s a fun-filled part of a school event in which everyone participates.
Even… cops?
Yes, you read the last line right, cops or the police. This pep rally, in particular, is nowhere near the usual because it involved the authorities in something that’s miles away from their sworn duty.
This is just a feel-good video.

Just in September of this last year, this epic dance performance was taken at the School District of Indian River County. It was a well-planned number where the Indian River County Sheriffs Office Student Resource Officers and students all teamed up for a dance challenge.
The “Git Up Challenge.”
The Git Up Challenge idea was derived from Blanco Brown’s country song ‘The Git Up’ which rose to stardom back in 2019. The dance video of the song was uploaded on YouTube and it’s already amassed a whopping 71 million (and counting) views, it definitely took the world wide web by storm.

Millions of Americans, like a father-daughter duo, husband-wife, friends, and other groups bounced to the song’s step-by-step dance where they did the “two-step, then the cowboy-boogie” and “grab your sweetheart.”
This school gladly took on the hit dance challenge.

The viral video starts with the cheerleaders and the school’s football team players grooving to the country song. They are just the first wave of performers, wait until you see what’s coming next.
After a couple of seconds they disperse, and here come the next performers. It’s none other than the Indian River County Sheriffs Office Student Resource Officers, four mighty gentlemen in uniform and badge take the center of the school’s gymnasium, ready to bring the house down.

Oh, those moves are slick!
This time, their role is not to serve and to protect but to participate in the school’s event and show everyone that they also have a soft spot. All four of them energetically show their dance moves, it is certainly a sight that’s new to the students, and of course, to them as well.

And aren’t they nailing the steps?
Pretty soon, other participants come to join them.
Wait- are my eyes seeing the right thing?

Four football players join the fun and partner themselves up with the cops, but as soon as the camera zooms out, you’ll see another “creature” on the left side of the frame.
When the image became clearer, a creature born centuries ago came back to life to join the party. Yes, there are not only one, but two T-Rexes roaring up to the dance challenge.
Worry not because they are not going to chew up everyone inside the gymnasium. They are there just to have some fun and enjoy the current generation.

Overall, everything went down to being an epic dance challenge, and there’s no one topping that cast of performers, from cheerleaders, football players, cops, and some pre-historic animals who must’ve heard Blanco Brown singing somewhere in their dreams.

This video is going to be ageless and it is something the school and everyone involved will happily look back to in the years to come.
