Do you want to give your family or circle of friends a dish that’s tasty but easy to do? Yes, you can order something from a restaurant or fast food. But have you ever thought of taking the liberty of cooking for them instead?
I mean, a personal touch on everything is always better, isn’t it?
Say no more because the internet is filled with instructional video recipes. Some of which are meticulously done while there are some that require little to almost zero effort!
Say thanks to the internet!
Also, let us give credits to all the “master chefs” out there who are continuously sharing their recipes online. One of them is a guy who owns the YouTube channel called ‘Cook and Taste‘.

He is from the Philippines and based on the ‘About‘ section of his channel, he is Ronald V. or Ronald Villafuerte. He also wrote a humble description of himself:
“I love to cook simple and affordable recipe it can be for family or fastfood and also for business..I’m not an expert on cooking but I can teach you different style and techniques specially on Filipino cuisine.”
You are a sure winner with this chicken dinner!
In one of his many recipe videos, Ronald shares a very easy-to-do chicken recipe – it’s literally super easy!
You just need to prepare the following ingredients:
- (1) Whole dressed chicken
- (1) Onion
- (5) Cloves of garlic
- (1) Stalk of lemongrass
- (1/2) Cup of oyster sauce
- (1) Liter of Sprite
- (1/4) cup of soy sauce
- Salt and ground black pepper
If you find those ingredients above hard to prepare, then I already don’t know what’s “easy” for you. I think almost all (if not all) of the things from that list of ingredients can be easily found at any supermarket.
You don’t need to be a kitchen expert because the entire procedure is unbelievably easy.
Step Number One: Before you even start, you must first have the dressed chicken ready. If it is, then start chopping both the onion and garlic cloves into pieces.
Step Number Two: Put a decent amount of salt and ground black pepper inside the chicken. Next, start filling in the spices inside the chicken by putting the onion, garlic, and lemongrass.
Step Number Three: Massage the outside part of the chicken with salt and ground black pepper to add a bit of flavor to it.
Step Number Four: Grab your preferred cooking pot and put two pairs of spoon and fork inside. This will act as leverage for the chicken to avoid the skin sticking on the bottom part of the pot.
Step Number Five: Put the stuffed chicken inside and pour in 3/4 of the Sprite. Make sure the chicken is not completely soaked in it. Then add the oyster sauce and spread it evenly.
Step Number Six: Bring it to a boil and then pour in the soy sauce. Simmer it until the sauce becomes thick.
Step Number Seven: Finally, pour the sauce all over the chicken before serving. Enjoy it while hot.
Just how easy is that? You probably wouldn’t sweat after doing the entire procedure. Who would’ve thought you can bring a whole chicken into another level of delicious by doing those easy steps?
It’s indeed an easy recipe and there’s no wonder why people love it.
This video was just uploaded in November of 2020 but it’s already reached over 9.3 million views! Ronald still has a lot of other videos of his recipes on his YouTube channel so make sure to check them all out.
