Serving in the military is a noble profession, the responsibility to fight for the country’s pride and liberty takes more than just a brave heart.

To be in the service, one must undergo strict and strenuous training which tests will and determination.

The job requires more than just a bulky body and muscles, it takes more than physical strength and durability. To be in the military service, you should know risks are part of your job, and when we say risks, that also means the risk of losing your own life.

However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you are throwing away the “happy” and “fun” side of you. Soldiers are also humans, after all, and though they are training to be as hard as a rock, it doesn’t mean they are not allowed to show their “soft” side.

This is how you do a military cadence.

In this video shared over two years ago by a YouTube channel named ‘evomenthe‘, a group of soldiers lines up in three rows as they prepare to do their military cadence.

Donning their camouflage uniforms, clean haircut, and serious facial expressions, they march in place while responding to their troop leader.

A military cadence is more than just an assembly amongst soldiers, it does more than just that. The U.S. Army website provided the following information about cadences:

“Dating back to the Revolutionary War, the Army cadence has been an important tradition that has withstood the test of time. Used to motivate, inspire and keep the Soldiers’ steps in time, cadences foster a cohesive company while at the same time handing down the rich oral traditions of the U.S. Army.”

The website also says that military cadence also strengthens and control soldiers’ breathing while they’re on difficult runs and marches.

The video went viral and soon you’ll know why.

It’s not the typical military cadence that you’ll see from an assembly of soldiers, this one is quite different and funny.

When the troop leader tells them to “snap both sides”, the soldiers abide while looking straight to nowhere. Then the leader shouts, “You’re dynamite, you’re fit to fight, now let me see you lean to the left…”

They all respond by leaning to the left and then to the right, screaming a loud “whoop!” while doing it. After that, they also do both sides, these soldiers definitely have the moves.

A feel-good routine to start their day right.

When the leader commands them to “freeze to the left… freeze to the right…”, all of them follow without anyone missing it, then they follow it through with a Neo-like (Keanu Reeves’ character in the blockbuster media franchise The Matrix) iconic move.

It’s a short exhale from all the tireless and endless training on camp, the soldiers surely loved this part of their experience.

The video amassed almost 740,000 hits on Youtube!

That’s quite a number for a video that only runs for 66 seconds, it might be a rare sight for people to see soldiers goofing around that’s why they went on to click the play button.

One online viewer shared her thoughts about the fun video:

“I haven’t served but I come from a military family. I think that was funny! Live a little when you can.”

While this one extended her gratitude for these brave soldiers’ service:

“God Bless these men Thank You for your service to our country 🇺🇸. And that was some good moves !👏”

Let’s all remind ourselves that soldiers are humans too and they are entitled to have fun as well. Now that the world is facing a formidable foe in the form of a virus, our mighty soldiers are still doing their jobs as frontliners, keeping peace and prosperity amidst this pandemic.

Thank you to our mighty soldiers!
