Root beer isn’t just for drinking or ice cream floats. It can be a great accessory to a dish when used properly. There’s no better way to highlight this than with pulled pork. The root beer offers a delicious flavor, and a slow cooker ensures the pork is tender and cooked to perfection.

Try this recipe out if you have a slow cooker. You won’t regret it!

Ingredients:

  • 2-pound pork tenderloin
  • 1 can of root beer
  • 1 bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce
  • hamburger buns

Directions

Place the pork tenderloin in a slow cooker. Then pour the can of root beer over the meat.

Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until the pork shreds very easily. Using two forks, shred the pork.

Drain the liquid out of the slow cooker.
