Macaroni and cheese is an absolute classic. A bowl of mac and cheese always spells comfort. The combination of a creamy sauce, chewy pasta, and cheese is simply divine, and it will always hit the spot, regardless of the day.
Making such quality macaroni and cheese is generally tiresome. Most recipes have a bunch of steps, deterring us from making it very often. Fortunately, YouTuber OnePotChef has a solution to this problem. His macaroni and cheese uses just one pot – a slow cooker – and it requires minimal effort.
First, you’ll need the following ingredients (serves 6):
- 500g of elbow macaroni
- 3 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, mild
- 250g of cream cheese
- 2 and 1/2 cups of milk
- 375ml can of evaporated milk
- salt and pepper
First, dump the uncooked elbow macaroni into the slow cooker.
Then add shredded cheese, cream cheese, milk, and evaporated milk to the slow cooker. Season the pot with salt and pepper to taste
Stir the slow cooker so that all the ingredients are evenly distributed. Then, turn the power on low. Cook the slow cooker with the lid on for 2 and a half hours. At the 2 hour mark, give the slow cooker a little stir.
Enjoy!
