French toasts are a delicious breakfast meal that can brighten up anybody’s morning. Who could say no to a crispy, mouth-watering french toast that’s soft and warm on the inside? But let’s face it, most people don’t make french toast in the morning because, well, ain’t nobody got time to cook something that fancy in the morning.

But wait, because with a handy dandy slow cooker, you can make a delicious french toast, easy and hassle-free. All it takes is 10 minutes of real cooking action, and then you just sit and wait while the slow cooker does the rest. 2 hours later, you’ll have the most delicious, mouth-watering french toast!

Before you start, you’ll need to slice or cube a loaf of bread and leave it out to dry overnight. Stale and dry bread will give your french toast some of that nice crispiness on the outside!

Here are the rest of the ingredients you’ll need:

  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • just a pinch of salt

Line your slow cooker with foil and then spray some nonstick oil over the foil.

Whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt in a large bowl.

Layer the slices of stale bread along the bottom of the slow cooker.

Pour some of the mixture over the bread, then add in more layers of bread. Continue this process until you are done using all of the mixture.

Cover the top with a clean dishtowel and the lid and then cook on high for 2 hours.

And then you just sit back and wait while the magic happens!

After it’s done, you can garnish the toast with any topping of your choice. I like mine with a little syrup and side of fruits, but there are tons of variations you could make.

What kind of toppings would you put on your french toast? Let us know in the comments below. We’d love to hear your thoughts!
