I don’t know about you, but whenever I eat out at a Chinese restaurant, beef and broccoli is a must-order dish. It’s a family favorite!
Fortunately, you can make the same delicious dish right at home, and it’s really easy, especially if you own a slow cooker. Slow cooker recipes are always the way to go whenever you need to save time, and the result is always delicious.
This beef and broccoli recipe is so tender and juicy, your family won’t mind eating leftovers for the next few days. Serve this with rice for the perfect meal!
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of sirloin steak
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 4 tablespoons water
- 1 head of broccoli florets
- white rice
Directions:
In a slow cooker, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and sesame oil.
Then, place the slices of sirloin steak in the liquid mixture. Toss and coat the steak so that all sides are covered with sauce. Cover the lid and cook on low heat for 4 hours.
After 4 hours, mix the cornstarch and water together in a small bowl. Pour this mixture into the slow cooker and mix it well. Add the broccoli florets on top and stir to combine. Cover the slow cooker and cook for another 30 minutes.
Serve with a side of white rice. Enjoy!
