Have you ever spent hours trying to cook the perfect lasagna, only to be frustrated by they’re either too soupy or too dry? Or maybe the long, tedious process of layering is what turns you off.
Enter the slow cooker. Not only will this do most of the work for you, but it will make your pasta consistent, both in form and taste. Now you can enjoy mouth-watering soft pasta covered by hot, cheese marinara sauce without the hassle! Here’s how to do it:
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ lb lasagna pasta
- 1 jar of pasta sauce
- 1¼ cup cottage cheese
- 1½ cup Italian cheese blend
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- salt & pepper (optional)
- parsley flakes (optional)
- vegetables (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
- Turn your stove on medium heat, and brown the ground beef. Drain the fat from the meat.
- Pour in the marinara sauce, and add in the Italian seasoning, cottage cheese, and Italian blend cheese.
- Stir until everything is well combined, turn off the stove, and remove the pan from the heat.
- Break the lasagna pasta, and toss into the slow cooker. Once all the pasta is in place, pour in the meat & cheese sauce.
- Mix the ingredients. Top it off with the remaining ¼ cottage cheese, and 1 cup of the Italian cheese blend.
- Sprinkle the parsley flakes on top, then close the lid.
- Cook on low for 3 hours.
That’s it! Add vegetables or onions to spice it up a little, and enjoy the taste of homemade lasagna!
