Once in a while, we all want to wine and dine, and just have some fun after a long tiring day. And there’s one perfect place to do all these, at a pub!
Pubs are establishments designed and built to accommodate people who simply want to eat and have some booze. Sometimes, pubs are also the “go-to” place of people for celebrations.
Pubs have one strict rule though, “no minors allowed”, especially during night time.
This kid, however, is not buying this rule and she wants to go to the pub, by hook or by crook!
Just like us, she also wants to have some fun.
But we all know that the pub is not the best place for her to do that. It’s already a bit late and pubs strictly follow the “no minors allowed” policy. This is a global and usual rule in every establishment that offers liquors.
But why does this little girl want to go to the pub?
The persistent little girl’s name is Katie, and all she wants was to go to the pub with her dad.
According to the video’s caption, there was a Christmas party that night when the video was taken.
They’re holding a party in their local pub for the local women’s soccer team. Why does Katie feel that she needs to be there?
It’s simply because her dad is the soccer team’s coach, and not only that but because two of her aunties also played for the team. Does she think that it’s a family celebration, maybe? Who knows?
She can’t fathom why she’s not allowed to be there:
“Katie comes to all the matches and training sessions and is basically the team mascot!. When she heard they were having a Christmas party she just couldn’t understand why she wasn’t invited😂😂. She had been begging her dad all day to bring her and after a few hours he gave up explaining that it was on too late, (kids are welcome in pubs with parents until 9/9.30pm), hence why she came to try and plead her case with me 😂😂.”
Katie: “I’m six!”
The little Irish girl really thought that her current age would give her some leverage on her argument. She’s wondering why she can’t go to the pub while her friends can.
The cute little girl was really pushy. She said,
“why can you not let me just go for one night?” Mom answered, “because you’re too little to go to the pub!”
“Mommy, I’m six, I’m six! I am absolutely just six!”
Come on, Katie, you’re not helping yourself in this argument. How she explained her side was just absolutely beyond innocent and cute. She really gave her mom a seriously adorable problem that night.
Dad was even put in a bad light!
During her endless explanation, she also busted out her dad to her mom.
She said that her dad’s always on his phone and ignoring her. She also claimed that dad doesn’t want to spend time with her. What a clever kid!
“He pretends to be cleaning when you’re gone and he doesn’t really clean! I go to the kitchen because I’m hungry and he’s on his phone!”
There’s no telling if dad also had some explaining to do that evening. We’re not sure even if mom bought the story or not.
The video’s caption also described Katie as,
“smart, funny, kind, courageous, caring, wise beyond her years, mannerful and full of life and I’m so proud that she has brought some laughter to so many people ❤️”
We know that Katie just wants to hang out with your friends. Unfortunately, she’s just really too young to go to the pub. Maybe, next time?

Her mom expressed to Irish Central her happiness about the results of her daughter’s innocent but hilarious pleading.
“I shared it to give people a giggle but i never expected it to go this mad. I’m delighted that she’s cheered so many people up the amount of messages I’ve gotten from people saying she has made their Christmas is unreal.”
