This little drummer is without a doubt gifted!

A drum set is not your ordinary musical instrument, each piece of it represents a certain sound, and if you aspire to play the drums, you must have an impeccable sense of rhythm and perfect timing. Playing the drums is also exhausting because you are using both pairs of your hands and feet.

So, if you aspire to be a professional drums player, then you must be up for the challenges from all the complexities that this musical instrument has to bring to your table.

Though we are not saying other instruments are easy to play, drums are on a different level of difficulty.

That being said, one little boy from Russia defied the word “difficult.”

It is rare to see such talent coming from a 3-year-old kid. Usually, children of this age are still learning how to speak properly, learning the alphabet and numerals, and other basics of life. However, this little boy, Lyonya Shilovsky, has already mastered all the this and that of a drum kit. Woah!

You might say this toddler must’ve been born with a pair of drumsticks in his hands. Well, obviously, he wasn’t, but he started playing drums when he was just a little over a year old. Lyonya grew up to be a versatile musical instrument player.

This little rocker loves nothing more than to play everything from jazz to rock and roll!

This awesome performance of Lyonya was taken when he was just 3-year-old.

The video starts as the little drummer marches to the stage together with his father. He joyfully waves to the crowd, takes a bow, and then he runs towards the instrument. He’s obviously excited to play in front of them. He still acts like a kid and I think that’s the most amazing part about him.

While he is being introduced, Lyonya stares at the people around him with so much curiosity, all the while shaking his drumsticks, it’s evident he’s itching to smash that humongous instrument in front of him.

This is what’s going to happen if you let a toddler lead an entire orchestra!

After the introduction, the crowd welcomes the performers with a big round of applause, then just seconds after, the show begins!

Our tiny drummer boy starts hammering the drum set that’s a lot larger than him. He plays along with the rest of the orchestra with a mellow intro but, pretty soon, they go full throttle on the lively music, giving everyone a magnificent musical show.

At the 1:40 minute mark of the video, he even stops to pick his nose without missing the beat.

I don’t know about you but that’s something rare to see from a live performance, though it’s acceptable- kids of his age couldn’t care less about picking their noses in public.

He also drops one of his drumsticks but, gladly, dad’s there to pick it up quickly for him. He continues to show everyone his talent with his incredibly fast drum playing skill.

When you have a dad as supportive as Lyonya’s, you know someone always has your back. You can clearly see the proud face of his dad, all the while supporting Lyonya at the back, doing everything he can to boost his son’s confidence.

In the latter part of his performance, he just can’t get enough of the show so he ends it with an exclamation point, of course, by doing a closing beat from the drums! This kid is really awesome!

The orchestra definitely had a great time accompanying Lyonya, after all, it’s not every day that they get to see such a young talented drummer like him.
