Now that you have everything you need, it’s time to make this gorgeous Mexican pizza.
Instructions:
Step 1. Sauté tomatoes and onions. After a couple of minutes or when your onions are translucent, add the ground beef.
Step 2. Add all of your spices and salt. Mix well.
Step 3. Once your meat has cooked, some of the oil will come out. Add one tablespoon of cornstarch to thicken the meat and then mix. Set aside.
Step 4. To make the sauce, simply mix your tomato sauce, water, vinegar, and all the other spices listed. Mix it all and let it simmer.
Step 5. Once your sauce simmers, lower the heat and let it cook for 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally. Set aside.
Step 6. Now it’s time to prepare the tortillas. Using your comal or cast iron pan put oil and fry your tortillas.
Before frying, make sure that you poke your tortilla using a toothpick. This prevents bubbles from forming.
Fry each side until golden brown and set aside on a roasting sheet.
Step 7. While cooking all your tortillas, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Once done, place them in the oven for five minutes.
Step 8. Start preparing your pizza. Spread a thin layer of beans and then add in your meat.
Step 9. Get another tortilla and spread your homemade sauce and cheese. Lastly, add your choice of toppings.
Step 10. Put it back in the oven or until the cheese melts. Prepare warm and enjoy!
Look at that! It looks so good to have tacos and pizza in one.
