Most of us would have two reactions. Some of us won’t think it’s possible and be skeptical, and some would realize, “why didn’t I think of this sooner?”
Spinelli, also known as The Wing King, is a former restaurant owner and now runs the popular YouTube channel ‘All Wings Everything.’
According to his bio on his website, he chose his YouTube name because of his passion for cooking and his hearty appetite for chicken wings.
Last May 1, he posted a recipe that garnered more than 700K views.
“One-pot Taco Spaghetti”
While he admits that the idea might sound weird, according to him, it works perfectly. Aside from being a one-pot dish, the combination works well together.
Come to think of it, the ingredients have a lot in common.
The ingredients:
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 to 2 cups of freshly grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup of chopped onion
- 2 to 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 package of your favorite taco seasoning
- 8 oz of spaghetti pasta
- 2 cups of beef broth
- Salt
- 1- 14oz of diced tomatoes with chiles
- 2 tablespoons of fresh chopped cilantro
Let’s start:
Heat your pan and add your ground beef. Break it apart and toss in your garlic and onion. Add a pinch of salt and cook until brown.
Drain the excess oil and then add your diced tomatoes, taco seasoning, and beef broth. Mix and add your spaghetti.
Submerge your spaghetti in the broth or water. Add water or broth if needed.
Bring it to a boil and cover your pan.
Reduce the heat to low and let it cook for 12 – 15 minutes, stirring every couple of minutes to avoid the spaghetti from sticking together.
Remove the lid of the pan and let it cook for another 2 – 3 minutes or until the liquid has reduced.
Looking good.
Turn off the heat and stir until well mixed.
Put your cheese on top.
You can add more cheese, depending on your preference.
Cover your pan and let the heat from the pasta melt the cheese.
You will notice that your cheese has melted.
Time to add cilantro or parsley.
That’s it. Serve warm, and enjoy! You can serve it with garlic bread or nachos, you choose.
The taste of this pasta recipe is cheesy, savory, and satisfying. Who would have thought that you can combine tacos and spaghetti?
