When someone posts about potato recipes, what idea pops into your mind?

The most common potato recipes that we would think of would be fries, hash browns, fritters, and maybe some baked potatoes with lots of cheese.

But there’s so much more.

Once you have all the ingredients ready, it’s time to prepare the recipe. Are you ready?

Here’s how to make it:

Step 1. Clean and peel your five potatoes. Cut them into 8, and set them aside. Do this for all five potatoes. Soak them in water to prevent discoloration.

Step2. Once that is done, put all your potatoes in a pot, add a sufficient amount of water and let it boil until soft. Don’t forget to add salt.

Step 3. Set aside the cooked potatoes, and after a few minutes, you can already mash them. Make sure everything is soft and smooth.

Step 4. Add starch and mix well. Once everything is smooth and well incorporated, it’s time to mold it into a ball.

Step 5. Put your potato ball on a clean and flat surface, then get a little piece and mold it into a circle. Do this until you finish the whole potato dough.

Step 6. Get a bottle, make sure it’s clean and dry, and using the mouth of the bottle, slowly insert it into the ball until it’s halfway in.

To make it easier, you can twist the bottle slowly. You will end up with button-mushroom potato balls. Set it aside.

Step 8. Add your vegetable oil, followed by the butter. Then add the onion, pepper, and minced garlic.

Step 9. Mix the sauce until your onions are almost translucent. Mix in teriyaki sauce, wine vinegar, and soy sauce.

Once that simmers, add the potato balls slowly and let them fry for 5 minutes on each side. So fragrant already!
