Did you know the person who makes pizza is known as a pizzaiolo?
They are usually the ones who make traditional Neapolitan-style pizzas.
Pizza can be baked in a stone brick oven above the heat source, an electric deck oven, or in a conveyor belt oven.
In more expensive restaurants, it is cooked in a wood or coal-fired brick oven.
In Italy, pizza is served unsliced for formal settings, such as restaurants, and is eaten with a knife and fork. However, it is cut into wedges in casual settings to be eaten while holding in one’s hand.
What about making it at home?

“It may look like a simple calzone at first, but this wonderful dish is actually so much more,” Scrumdiddlyumptious said.
Let’s get started on bringing this recipe to life! You’ll need the following lists to make it happen.
Here are the ingredients:
- some flour
- 2 round portions of pizza dough
- 3.3 fluid oz of tomato sauce
- 1 mozzarella ball, sliced
- 7 black olives
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- 1 egg yolk
- 1.5 fluid oz of warm rum
- 3 oz of Serrano ham
- 1 cup of arugula
- 3 tomatoes, diced
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 2 tablespoon of basil, chopped
- 2 tablespoon of olive oil
The steps are as follows:
Step 1: On a work surface dusted with flour, roll out one of the pizza dough portions.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, avoiding the edges.
Step 2: Place the mozzarella slices and olives on the pizza before sprinkling oregano on top.
Step 3: Spread the egg yolk around the pizza’s edge.
Then, at one of the edges, place four drinking straws next to each other.
Step 4: Cover the pizza with the remaining dough. So that the two pizzas are connected, press the edge of the top layer of dough together with the bottom layer.
Step 5: Blow into the straws until the top layer of dough forms a dome.
Take out the straws and quickly close the gap.
Step 6: Bake the pizza for 15 minutes at 390 degrees Fahrenheit (198 degrees Celsius).
Step 7: Once the dough dome is cooked, pour the rum over it and light it with a match.
After that, remove the dome and top the pizza with Serrano ham and arugula.
Step 8: Fill the dough dome halfway with chopped tomatoes, garlic, basil, and olive oil.
Cut off pieces of the dome and dip them into the tomato bruschetta mix.
