Cupcakes are always fun to make.
You can never go wrong in preparing them, especially at home.
This can be a great time as well to enjoy baking together with the ones you love.
Here’s one sweet recipe that I know you will surely like.
Banana Chocolate cupcakes
Ingredients:
- 2 Eggs
- 3/8 cup (80 gr) of Sugar
- A Pinch of Salt
- 100 ml Oil (just under 1/2 cup)
- 125 ml Milk (1/2 cup)
- 1 1/2 cups (200 gr) of Flour
- 2 Tablespoons (~25 gr) Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 12 gr of Baking Powder (1 slightly rounded tblsp.)
- 2 Bananas
- Sugar or sugar pearls
Materials:
- Muffin or Cupcake Pan
- Cupcake Liners
- Big Bowl
- Knife
- Chopping Board
- Whisk
- Spoon
Start with a big mixing bowl.
In the big bowl, mix the wet ingredients first.
First add the eggs, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Whisk them gradually until they’re mixed together.
Add oil and whisk again to incorporate.
Add in milk and mix it again until all of the ingredients are well incorporated.
Now, onto the dry ingredients.
Place a fine strainer or sifter over the bowl if you have one. (This step is optional but makes a better product in the end.)
Sift in flour first, or just add it directly to the wet ingredients if you don’t have a sifter.
Then, sift or add in the cocoa powder.
Next, add baking powder and start slowly mixing everything together.
Whisk until all of the powder is dissolved and you’re left with a smooth consistency.
Set the cocoa mixture aside as we prepare the bananas.
Peel two bananas.
Cut them into small pieces about 3/4 to one inch in length. No need to be precise.
Prepare your cupcake pan with the cupcake liners in place.
Add one banana chunk to each.
Put one piece of cut banana in the center of each cupcake liner.
Using a spoon, add the cupcake mixture into each liner gradually, covering the banana chunks.
Leave a small amount of space from the top so there’s room for the cupcake to rise.
Sprinkle some sugar pearls on top.
It’s time to bake! Place the cupcakes into the oven at 350℉ for 20 minutes.
While waiting, just enjoy the smell of the cupcakes being baked while you handle other tasks, like preparing coffee, tea, cocoa, or a beverage of your choice.
Once done, you will have flavorful, delicious, and freshly baked cupcakes that everyone will love, so long as they like chocolate and banana, of course.
They smell so heavenly.
The best part is yet to come.
