While it’s cooking, here’s a fun egg fact! Did you know that if you accidentally drop a raw egg on the floor (which can be a gooey mess), salt can help make it easier to clean up?

Just pour a bunch of salt on the egg. Cuisine at Home explains:

“The salt absorbs the liquid and solidifies the egg, which you can then scoop right up — no more chasing it around on the floor.”

Ok, back to cooking the perfect soft-boiled egg!

Step 4:

After six-minutes and 30 seconds are up, drain the egg. Run cold tap water over it for 30-60 seconds.
