The average cost of this delicious homemade pecan pie is $1.42 per serving. Preparation is fairly simple and will only take you about 10 minutes. The cooking time is three hours, which makes for a total of 3 hours and 10 minutes.

Cooking instructions

First, give the bottom of the slow cooker some grease by spreading a bit of butter on the surface or by using cooking spray.

Next, we’re going to take the pie dough and spread it out carefully across the entire bottom surface as well as the side. You can simply put pressure on the pie dough in the middle of the slow cooker to make sure a bit of the side is covered as well.

Quickly melt the butter and mix it with the rest of the ingredients: add the granulated sugar, light brown sugar, a bit of salt, the three eggs and a teaspoon of vanilla extract along with a cup of the chopped pecans. Spread the mix completely over the dough in the slow cooker.

Finish by sprinkling the other cup of pecans on the top, and it’s ready to cook! Set the slow cooker on a low setting and let it cook for three hours.

If you’d like, you can serve with a bit of whipped cream and a leaf of mint. A bit of brown rum at the bottom of the serving plate also makes for an interesting and powerful extra touch.
